PURPOSE:The titled composition, prepared by incorporating a specific halogen- containing block copolymer and an inorganic flame retardant with a terephthalic acid polyester, capable of retaining the mechanical strength and useful as a molding material without bleeding the flame retardant to the surface thereof in molding. CONSTITUTION:A composition prepared by melt kneading a terephthalic acid polyester with a block copolymer with a halogen content of 25-50wt% of a copolyester obtained by copolymerizing terephthalic acid and/or ester forming derivative thereof with an alkylene glycol and a halogen-containing aromatic diol expressed by formulaI(R1 and R2 are alkylene; X is Cl or Br; l1 and l2 integers 1-4; p and q are integers 1-10) and a bisphenol A carbonate oligomer, containing halogen, and expressed by formula II (R3 and R4 are alkyl, alkoxyl, aryl or aryloxyl; m1 and m2 are integers 1-4; n is an integer 2-20) in an amount of 2-30wt% expressed in terms of available halogen and 0.5-20wt% inorganic flame retardant assistant at 180-300 deg.C. |
