PURPOSE:To enable spring rings to be successively and rapidly inserted into an oil seal or the like by sending forward a plurality of the spring rings fitted on a tubular body sequentially one by one with a pawl urged by a ratchet mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of spring rings 2 loosely fitted on a tubular body 1 are pressed axially downward by a spring 3. By engagement of a rack 11 provided on a spindle with a pawl 4, the spring rings 2 are sent forward by the pawl 4 while expanding the diameter of the spring ring 2. The spring ring 2 disengaged from the pawl 4 rolls down along the tapered surface 14 of an end of the tubular body 1 by contracting force of the spring ring and pass by the outer periphery of a colar 18 of an oil seal or the like to fit on a desired portion and to be stabilized by contracting the diameter of the spring ring. Thus, the spring ring can be inserted rapidly and positively. |
