<p>The pulley wheel has a number of slots to receive a V-section belt, and comprises a disc (2), the edge of which is folded to form a cylindrical band around the disc circumference. In addition the edge of the remaining disc is indented to a small extent. A number of sectors (1) of a circle are then rivetted on to the edge to provide the complete pulley surface. Each sector has an L-section, with one arm (1b) lying parallel to, and in contact with the edge of the main part of the disc, whilst the second arm (1a) of the L lies on the folded cylindrical edge. The second arm has a number of grooves (3) formed between ribs (4) to define the slots which may receive a pulley belt. In alternative arrangements two discs hold the v-section edging sectors between them.</p> |
