The stopper (1) is fitted to a receptacle (12) holding e.g. spherical pills or capsules which it can count and distribute. It has a movable cavity and a tubular section (9) through which the spheres pass. The tube is extended by a second pipe (7), narrower than the first, and a shoulder (8) is formed between the two. The shoulder acts as a stop and the second pipe connects with a transverse bore (4) through which the spheres exit when the cavity is full. The longitudinal pipes are aligned and all are circular or of prismatic section. The closed end of the second longitudinal pipe is formed as a cavity to lodge a sphere.
