A cooling device for the cover of a combustion chamber for a domestic boiler with a cylindrical water-pipe ring which is arranged around a central burner and in which water flows between a lower and an upper distributing ring, is produced by the water circulating in the heat exchanger, which also leads to an increased recovery of the heat carried off through this cover, by the water originating from the upper distributing ring being conducted in such a manner that it also circulates on the external surface of a plate closing off the combustion chamber.
