摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance display capabilities and improve a contrast, a distribution state and a visual resolution of a sample distributed image by displaying in color a sample transmission image of an electron microscope. CONSTITUTION:A spot beam is scanned three times over an optional position on a sample 4 by means of scanning signals from a scanning signal generator 6, and electrons suffering energy losses in an analyzer 7 corresponding to blue during the first scan, green during the second scan, and red during the third scan are picked up through a slit 9 by controlling the sweep signals in sequence. The blue, green, and red signals thus picked up are detected by a detector 16 individually, and the scanning positions and the signal strengths are further stored in memories 17B, 17G, 17R respectively. Scanning signals synchronized with the scanning signals for deflection units 5X, 5Y are fed from the scanning signal generator 6 to deflection coils 21X, 21Y of a color CRT, and as soon as the red signal is detected during the third scan, the blue and green signals stored in the memory are fed to an intensity signal generating circuit 18 and a color-difference signal generating circuit 19, thereby a color picture of the sample transmission image is displayed on the screen of the color CRT 20 during the third scan.
