PURPOSE:To provide an electric power source for welding which is easy to operate and provides welding results of high quality by so constituting the same that the output in the stage of crater welding is operated automatically from the output in the stage of welding and can be set. CONSTITUTION:The set inputs in a setter 10 for setting welding outputs and crater welding outputs are inputted to an arithmetic circuit 15 via an input circuit 14. In the circuit 15, the states of welding and crater welding are discriminated and in the case of the crater welding, the crater welding output relating to the welding output is operated and outputted by the processing stored in the storage part in the circuit 15. The voltage of the crater welding is set by the output current in the stage of the crater welding determined by the circuit 15 by referring to the kinds of welding materials, the kinds of weld shielding gases and the diameters of welding wires by switching elements 11-13. The voltage value suited for the crater welding current is fetched from the storage part and is inputted to an output circuit 16. As a result, the output in the stage of the crater welding is obtained automatically from the output in the stage of welding. Here, 17 in the figure denotes the controlling element for the welding output. |
