PURPOSE:To enlarge the field of vision to 90 deg. and image the objects at the same magnification, by dividing a reflecting curved surface into a plurality of sections and shaping the sections as prescribed curved surfaces by which the objects in prescribed directions can be recognized respectively. CONSTITUTION:The upper section 5 of the reflecting curved surface of a rearview mirror A is shaped as a curved surface like that of a column. The middle section 6 of the reflecting surface is shaped as a paraboloid. The right and the left sections 7, 8 of the reflecting surface on its bottom 3 are obliquely curved outwards so that the curvature of the sections 7, 8 is made gradually larger outwards than that of the upper section 5 and the middle section 6. The sections 7, 8 are thus provided with combined different curvatures so that the magnification is uniform. A back member B is mounted with elastic rubber C on the rear of the mirror A. A clamping member 14 provided with a through hole 13, through which a support rod 12 is inserted, is pinched between the pinch-holding parts 10, 10' of a securing member 11 behind the back member B, so that a mounting unit 9 is constructed. |
