PURPOSE:To avoid the extension of required time for data transmission by switching the data transmission operation from the automatic retransmission mode used up to now to the nonretransmission mode and containing said operation, when the data retransmission operations reach a prescribed number of times or more. CONSTITUTION:If the retransmission request of a data block reaches a prescribed number of times, a control signal is generated from a retransmission number count circuit 43, nonretransmission bits of the data block outputted from a transmission data forming circuit 7 are all set to 1 and transmitted to the reception side. This is detected with a nonretransmission mode controlling circuit 53 at the reception side and the circuit 53 generates a control signal on the condition that an error absence signal is given to the circuit 53 from an error detecting circuit 18, and an input of lower side of an OR gate 54 goes to 1 and a control signal is given to a response signal transmitting circuit 19 to stop the operation of the response signal transmitting circuit further more. As a result, an AND gate 17 it kept activated at all times for operative state to the nonretransmission mode. |
