<p>PURPOSE:To improve the removal ratio without the loss of butadiene in hydrogenating and removing acetylenic comounds in a 4C fraction containing butadiene, by using a catalyst containing Pd and a metal of GroupIb in the periodic table supported on alumina. CONSTITUTION:Acetylenic compounds in a fraction containing butadiene or 4C hydrocarbons including butadiene essentially are hydrogenated and removed by using a catalyst expressed by the formula Pd-X-Al2O3 (X is a metal of GroupIb in the periodic table or a salt thereof) and containing preferably 0.05-5wt% palladium and X at an atomic ratio based on the palladium of 0.1-10 preferably supported on alumina as a carrier at a reaction temperature in the range of 0-80 deg.C, preferably 5-60 deg.C, and reaction pressure of 2-30kg/cm<2>.G, preferably 3-15kg/cm<2>.G. Even if the total concentration of the acetylenic compounds in the C4 fraction is in the range of 0.5-2wt%, the acetylenic compounds can be hydrogenated and removed.</p> |
