PURPOSE:To provide for automatic lubrication by installing an oil sump at the top of the drill and tap of the captioned drilling machine. CONSTITUTION:The drilling machine consists of a guide drill, 4A which is installed at the tip of the rotary shaft and concentric with it and used to determine the center of the drilled hole, and a main drill 4B. Connected to this main drill 4B is taps 4C, and on the top of these taps an oil sump 5 is installed surrounding the rotary shaft 10 which forms the top end of the taps 4C. Oil is allowed to flow out of small holes 5a of the oil sump 5 down to the taps 4C. By preparing sufficient amount of oil in the oil sump 5 before the drilling operation, oil will be kept flowing out gradually through the holes 5a, feeding cutting oil to the drill 4. |
