PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a practical switch device of a small size and high perfor mance for a high frequency signal switching as the switch device of a small size using a conductive fluid. SOLUTION: A switch device 5 has a long and slender channel 10, fixed electrodes 21, 22, 23, 24 provided being separated from each other in the longitudinal direction and sub-channels 13, 14, 15 communicating in the crosswise direction of the channel 10. Conductive fluids 3a, 3b, 3c are arranged in the channel 10, and a non-conductive fluid is arranged in the sub-channel 13, 14, 15 at least. The switch device 5 also includes a pair of chambers 11, 12 that include heaters 26, 27. The sub-channel 15 communicates to the chamber 12 while the sub-channels 13, 14 communicate to the chamber 11. The electrodes 21, 22, 23, 24 are comprised so as to realize two conditions that the electrodes 21, 22, 23, 24 are electrically conductive with the electrode neighboring on the side different from each other by individually operating one of the heaters 26, 27.
