<p>PURPOSE: To provide a reproducing device capable of stably reproduction data without duplicated recording data of azimuth tracks even when a control signal cannot be reproduced. CONSTITUTION: A clock detection section 9 detects a CTL signal from an output of a CTL reproduction head 1 whose input signal is amplified by an amplifier 2 and throws a switch 11 so that an output of the CTL reproduction head 1 amplified by the amplifier 2 is fed to a phase comparator 3 when the CTL signal is detected and an output of a frequency generator 8 frequency-divided by a frequency divider 10 is fed to the phase comparator 3 when no CTL signal is detected. The phase comparator 3 compares the phase of a reference signal REF having a reference frequency and the phase of the signal from the switch 11, a signal processing section 5 generates a servo signal based on a comparison output of the phase comparator 3 and a frequency signal in response to number of revolutions of a capstan motor 7 from the frequency generator 8, gives the servo signal to the capstan motor 7 via an amplifier 6 to control the drive speed of a magnetic tape.</p> |
