PURPOSE:To enable highly developed sorting work in a conveyer comprising plural carts having an opening and closing gate coupled in a chain by reading a code of the goods with a reader and opening the gate corresponding to the result of reading when the goods reaches at a carry-out position. CONSTITUTION:A conveyer line 1 comprises plural cars 9 coupled in a chain, and the required number of carry-in devices 2 and carry-out devices 3 are disposed at arbitrary positions along the line 1. An address sheet where a bar code number and the like are printed is attached to goods 4 to be handled, and the goods 4 is carried in the cart 9 at random by the carry-in device 2. In a process of transportation by the cart 9, the address sheet is read to memory in a control unit which goods 4 is placed on which cart 9. In carrying out the goods, the arrival of the cart 9 is detected through a reader 26, and a gate open guide 23 is advanced by a cylinder 33 to open the gate 4, so that the goods 4 is transported through a chute 13. |
