PURPOSE: A method of sterilizing meat by soaking meat such as beef, pork, chicken, etc. in silver ion water before freezing, storing and then distributing is provided which can sterilize meat at low cost with ease without changing a meat taste. CONSTITUTION: Silver having a purity of 99.99% is disintegrated to a size of 0.005 to 0.015μm and dissolved in distilled water or purified water to produce silver ion water. Meat is soaked in 3 to 20ppm silver ion water for 1 to 20min before freezing, stored and then distributed. Also the meat can be sprayed with the same.
