PURPOSE:To enable a terminal user to devote himself or herself to available services without paying his or her attention to time while evading the logical disconnection of a terminal that the terminal user does not intends, by automatically sending a continuation signal to a host computer when a transmission enabled state continues for a certain time. CONSTITUTION:When a signal 201 showing the transmission is possible turns on, a timer 2 sends a pulse to a signal line 202 to set a measured value to zero. Then, a clock signal 101 is supplied through a converter 1 to the timer 2, which measures time. The measured value of the timer 2 is compared by a comparator 3 with plural data stored in a register 4, e.g. data showing points in time two minutes and one minute before, etc., every time the measured value increases and when each data is coincident, pulses are generated from signal lines 301- 303. Then, a buzzer driver 5 drives a buzzer by the outputs of the signal lines 301 and 302 and through a coincident signal line 303 shortly before the time is up, a continuation signal is sent out of a continuation signal transmitter 6 to a host computer through a signal line 502. |
