PURPOSE:To improve the life characteristic of a paste for a lead acid battery by adding and kneading both a fluororesin dispersion and a metallic lead powder into a kneaded paste during the kneading process, after the addition of sulfuric acid is completed. CONSTITUTION:A usual paste kneading is carried out by dropping sulfuric acid into a mixture principally consisting of a lead powder and water. After the above addition of sulfuric acid into the mixture is completed, a fluororesin dispersion and an actually metallic lead powder are added to the kneaded paste simultaneously so as to made a paste for a lead acid battery. Here, it is preferred that the ratios of the above solid fluororesin and the above metallic lead powder to the amount of the above lead powder, respectively, are adjusted to above 0.05wt% and above 5wt%. |
