PURPOSE:To easily form a coating when film treatment is applied to an electrode resistance layer for suppression of a radio noise, by forming the coating through processes of applying liquid state oil to an electric discharge surface and performing an electric arc discharge for a prescribed time to said discharge surface. CONSTITUTION:A rotor electrode 2 itself is immersed in liquid state oil (a) in a vessel 10 and applied with said oil to an electric discharge surface 2a. Then immediately before drying of an applied layer, the rotor electrode 2 is used as an anode, while the electric discharge surface 2a is placed at a face-to-face position to a cathode 11 through a gap 12, and voltage is applied between the both anode and cathode from a power source 13 for a prescribed time to perform an electric arc discharge normally for 10-20min, then a uniform oil resistance layer in prescribed thickness is coated and formed to the electric discharge surface 2a of the rotor electrode. Various kinds of mineral or vegetable oil can be used for this oil (a), and the oil layer is surely formed to prescribed thickness, thus generation of a radio noise can be effectively suppressed. |
