PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a radio noise in a distributor of spark-ignition type, by forming a film layer of water glass to at least the end part in either side of a rotor electrode. CONSTITUTION:A rotor electrode 15 is formed with a metallic plate having low thermal conductivity like, for instance, stainless steel or the like, and a film layer 16 of water glass is formed to the point end part of said electrode. This film layer 16 serves as a heat insulating material, and the rotor electrode 15 is used at higher temperature than of a conventional electrode to activate emission of an electron. This active thermionic effect lowers electric discharge voltage and decreases a capacitance discharge current to suppress generation of a radio noise arising from a spark discharge. Further an electric charge is accumulated between a conductor part of the electrode 15 and the film layer 16, and electric discharge voltage can be reduced by a residual charge effect. |
