PURPOSE:To make a time display easy to see, by making at least one of each selecting time interval of hour and minute wider than a selecting time interval of a second signal, or varying the selecting time intervals of hour and minute, and varying the display of a hand shape. CONSTITUTION:A signal of a time information oscillator 21 is inputted to a frequency-dividing circuit 22, and a second signal is generated. Counters 25-27 count a second signal, a minute signal of every 60sec and an hour signal of every 12min, respectively. AND circuits 31-33 select the second, minute and hour signals like time division, and its selecting time width is 1:3:2 against second, minute and hour, respectively. A driving signal generating circuit 28 repeatedly generates in order pulses P1-P6 at equal intervals. When the pulse P1 is generated, the second signal is inputted to a decoder 34 through the AND circuit 31, and a signal tn corresponding to its counting is outputted to a segment electrode driving circuit 35. Subsequently, the time of the pulses P2, P3 and P4 is used for selecting the minute signal, the time of the pulses P5, P6 is used for selecting the hour signal, driving voltage is applied to the circuit 35 and a common electrode driving circuit 36 by unequal time division, and the display is executed. |
