OPERATING APPARATUS OF PRESS ROLL FOR COVERING OF STEEL PIPE WITH THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FILM

PURPOSE:To enable press-bonding of resin film around foregoing and following steel pipes continuously, by supporting both sides arms which support a press roll at a gate type stand by a shaft and enabling up-and-down motion of the roll by the motors provided on the stand. CONSTITUTION:The shaft of a cylindrical press roll 4 is supported by both sides arms 7 and the arms 7 are supported by a gate type stand 6 via a rotational shaft 9. The stand 6 is enabled to move to the direction of the press roll axis by a screw 17 and a sliding mechanism 18 and also to rotate in its entirely in a horizontal plane by providing a shaft 16 of perpendicular direction at the middle part of the stand 6 including the sliding mechanism 18. Also, motors 10, 10 are installed at the both sides of the upper part of the gate type stand 6, arms 7, 7 are made movable around the shaft 9 at each side individually and right and left individual up-and-down motion of the press roll 4 is enabled.
