PURPOSE:To stabilize the internal resistance of a small sealed lead acid battery, and increase the capacity stability of the battery by unifying a plate and a retainer during the stage in which a paste is packed into the retainer. CONSTITUTION:After a grid 1 is inserted into a bag-like retainer 2, a positive plate 6 and the retainer 2 are unified by packing a slurry-like paste 5 into the retainer 2 through the opening of the retainer 2. As the result, since a retainer layer 2' is formed between the plate 6 and the retainer 2 by packing an active material between them, the adhesion between the plate 6 and the retainer layer 2' which consists of the active material and the adhesion between the retainer layer 2' and the retainer 2 are improved. Consequently, the internal resistance of the battery is not increased when pressure applied to the plate group becomes insufficient. |
