Disclosed is a method for determining the type, size, concentration, and/or state of components in a sample, especially in fluid flows, by means of a laser source which emits a wavelength that is suitable for the Raman spectroscopic analysis of a component. The laser light is injected into the sample, and the scattered radiation is detected and evaluated.
