Large numbers of toothbrushes (11), after their manufacture on a production line, can be stored in the cassette (1), sorted and positioned in a small space. This is advantageously carried out by means of an automatic filling unit which is fitted downstream of the production line. The toothbrushes (11) can be automatically removed from the stackable cassette (1) provided with supporting strips (6) and lateral securing elements (12; 13), in such a manner that they can be fed in to an unpacking unit in a predetermined position. <IMAGE>
