A roll stand has a pair (2) of back-up rolls and at least two pairs (4, 5) of work rolls which are mounted in a changing device (6) and can optionally be moved out of a rest position into a working position with the aid of the changing device (6). In order to be able to use pairs of work rolls of different diameters, the changing device (6) comprises rockers (7) with vertically adjustable pivots (8).
