A method for washing laundry articles by using steam is provided to perform a washing operation optimally by differently determining the conditions for operation of a steam washing course according to the loads of the laundry articles. A method for washing laundry articles by using steam includes the steps of: selecting a steam washing course for washing laundry articles only with steam through a control assembly(S100); requesting for selection of the loads of the laundry articles for a steam washing course(S200); determining an operation condition of the steam washing course according to the selected loads(S300); and performing an operation for steam washing course by controlling at least one of a steam providing section, a water supply section, a drive section, a temperature sensing section, a water level detection section, and a water discharge section(S400). |
