The invention relates to a viscous fan clutch, in which the disc-shaped impeller is axially precision-guided in the region of its outer periphery in the housing of the fan clutch and is also sealed in this region. By this means, the tendency of the rotor to perform wobbling shocks is prevented, as a result of which the mounting can also be kept short axially. Furthermore, there is the possibility of the function of the separating wall between the working space and the storage space additionally being taken over by the impeller. As a result, fewer individual parts are necessary for producing the viscous fan clutch and its axial space requirement is particularly low.
