The device for transfer of general cargo (W1 to Wn) comprises a feeding post (2). An internal space (10) of the feeding post is transported downwards through the cargo from an upper transport level (E1) to a lower transport level (E2). A break unit (11) is provided in the internal space between an inlet (3) and an outlet (9). The inlet is arranged in the top region (2a) and the outlet is arranged in the lower region (2c) of the feeding post. The transport speed of the cargo decreases by the gravitational force, which is reduced with the break unit, for a good downwards-transportation.
