The carburettor for an i.c.-engine has a fuel pump (5) with a chamber (6) connected at one point to a constant level fuel chamber (1a) via a passage (7) with an inlet valve (8). It is connected at a second point, to an intake throat of the carburettor by a passage with a control valve (9). The pump chamber is formed with a diaphragm (12) actuated in liaison with the throttle butterfly valve. It has a second chamber defined by the diaphragm which is actuated by a linkage connected to the butterfly valve. The second chamber has a calibrated vent orifice.
|
