PURPOSE:To achieve a vertical magnetism recording medium having vertical magnetization film excellent in flatness and vertical orientation, by removing the 1st nonmagnetic support after forming a Co-Cr alloy film, a high-permeability in-surface magnetization layer and the 2nd nonmagnetic support in order on the 1st nonmagnetic support. CONSTITUTION:A thin film 2 of Co-Cr alloy in which the magnetization easy axis is vertical to the film surface is formed on a nonmagnetic support 1 such as high polymer film, and after forming a high permeability in-surface magnetization layer 3 such as Fe-Ni alloy, Fe-Al-Si alloy, amorphous high permeability material and high permeability ferrite, a nonmagnetic support 4 is formed. The objective vertical magnetization recording medium is obtained by finally removing the 1st nonmagnetic support 1. Thus, the flatness of the surface of the Co-Cr alloy thin film 2 can be made to the same degree as that on the surface of the 1st nonmagnetic support 1, and the contact performance with magnetic heads can be improved. |
