PURPOSE:To drive a submerged pump with hydraulic power from a fire engine or the like, by driving a Francis turbine with hydraulic energy and coupling the Francis turbine to the submerged pump. CONSTITUTION:A submerged pump 1 is constituted by a driving Francis turbine 2 and pumping volute pump 3, and driven by a fire engine 25. Then water in a water tank 26 of small capacity, equipped in the fire engine 25, is fed to the turbine 2 by a fire fighting pump 27 and hose 28, and discharged water from the turbine 2 is returned to the water tank 26 by a hose 29. In this way, the submerged pump 1 is operated by hydraulic power from the fire fighting pump 27, and river water 24 is fed through a hose 30. When delivery pressure is short in the submerged pump 1, the pressure can be boosted as necessary by another fire fighting pump. |
