PURPOSE:To reduce the number of switches, by a method wherein only a selection of function is conducted in the case of a short time operation of a function selecting switch, and if an operation is conducted for longer than a given time, a selection of function, production of an alarm sound, switching of a 12-hour day display to and from a 24-hour day display are conducted. CONSTITUTION:If a function selecting switch 17 is operated for a short time, a mode selection of a function selecting circuit 21 is conducted in the order of a time mode, a calendar mode, and an alarm mode. If the function selecting switch 17 is closed for longer than a given time, a timer circuit 25 outputs an output signal TP to produce an alarm sound from a sounder 14 via a sound driving circuit 13, and forcibly brings the function selecting circuit 21 into a time mode via a delay circuit 28. When the function selecting circuit 21 is brought to the calendar mode, the output signal TP inverts an FF 27 for switching a 12- hour day to and from a 24-hour day indication to switch an hour display, displayed in a display 24, to a 12-hour day display or a 24-hour day display. |
