The fire-space closing door is intended for heating boilers for the combustion of pressed solid fuels, such as straw or paper, delivered in the form of slugs. An ash-stripping element arranged in the fire space is provided in a rotatable and axially displaceable manner on the door. For the purpose of a favourable pressure-pulse emission, starting from the ash-stripping element, an upwardly projecting jib (2) is arranged on the door (1), and arranged pivotably at the upper end (2') of the said jib (2) is a pivot-bearing holder (3) which hangs in front of the door and the lower end (4) of which is held elastically in relation to the door (1) and is provided with a control extension (5). <IMAGE>
