摘要 PURPOSE:To estimate the linear integral value at a missed part, by making use of the fact that the information of a missed part of each projection data exists in the projection data of another direction. CONSTITUTION:The external forms of both an object 10 to be examined and a missed region 10a are used as the known information to estimate the linear integral value at the missed part. The conventional reconstituted arithmetic process is applied to the estimated linear integral value to calculate a tomogram image. The highly accurate estimation is impossible for the missed part of the projection data with the tomogram image that is obtained through one calculation. Thus a correction is given to the tomogram image calculated from the external form information of the object 10 and the region 10a. Then the projection data is estimated again for the missed part by means of a corrected image to calculate a tomogram image. In such a way, a tomogram image can be gradually improved through the estimation of the projection data with application of a reconstituted arithmetic process plus the repetitive process for correction of the tomogram image.
