PURPOSE:To always monitor the fault of a device without lowering the processing speed of its inherent work, by making use of the idle time of an LP and carrying out a device diagnosing program in parallel to the working of a GP. CONSTITUTION:Local processors (LP1-LPn) 1 control each device 2 such as a terminal, disk, etc. A global processor (GP) 3 performs its inherent processing work, the control of the LP, etc. and includes a device diagnosing program control part 5. The GP3 and LP1 give an access to a common memory 7 via a common bus 6. The LP1 usually executes the diagnosing program of the device 2 and gives an interruption to the control part 5 with a fault detecting interruption in case a fault of the device 2 is detected. The part 5 analyzes the factor code and executes the assigned works including the cutoff of the device, the execution of a fault recovery program through the LP, etc. |
