PURPOSE:To prevent generation of fog, by mainly constituting a developer of grains whose shape has no sharp part, and also constituting so that the developer is not left in the circumference of a projection provided on the surface of a dielectric layer of an electrostatic recording medium, after cleaning. CONSTITUTION:When rollers 5, 6 are driven and rotated in the direction as indicated with an arrow A, an electrostatic recording medium 1 circulates and runs in the direction as indicated with an arrow B, during which formation of an electrostatic latent image by an electrostatic recording head 7, adhesion of a developer 3 by a developing device 9, and its image development are executed, and after observation of an observer in the direction as indicated with an arrow C has ended, the developer 3 which has constituted the developed image is removed from the recording medium by a cleaning blade 4 and is returned to the developing device 9. Since the developer 3 is constituted of spherical grains, it is not crushed at the time of cleaning or at the time of development, and accordingly, pulverized grains of the developer are not left at all in the circumference of a projection 2 of the recording medium 1. |
