PURPOSE:To make it possible to display by an arbitrary display dot number, in the display device for displaying irregularity in the thickness in the width direction of a sheet shaped body to be measured, by performing the measurement at every specified movement of heads and displaying the result. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower heads 10 and 11, which measure the irregularity in the thickness in the width direction of a sheet 12, move along a frame 1. The maximum measuring width from U to L is Wcm, the maximum display dot number is m, and a head position pulse generating part 13 generates 1 pulse at every 1cm. At the position U of the heads, y1 and y2 are set to that y1=0 and y2=N=W/m. When the heads move from U to L, a counter part 14 performs addition, a comparator part 15 sends out the output y3 at every y1>= y2, a computing part 17 adds N at every output of Y y3, and a computing part 18 performs the measurement of a measuring signal (f) of paper at every y3. In the movement from L to U, the counter unit performs subtraction, the comparator parts sends out the output at every y1<y2, and the computing unit 17 subtracts N at every y3 output. When preset value N is changed, the arbitrary display dot number can be handled. |
