PURPOSE:To obtain a clear picture and an excellent offset effect, by providing a means which charges a supporting material, which supports a positively charged unfixed picture, with negative charge after this supporting material passes between the first and the second rotating materials. CONSTITUTION:A toner 4a in a developing device is a positively chargeable magnetic toner consisting of a styrene-butyl methacrylate copolymer, polypropylene, etc. and is coated on a sleeve 4b by the rotation of the developing sleeve 4b in a linear speed approximately equal to that of a photoreceptor 1 in the direction of an arrow. The coated toner is transferred from the sleeve 4b to the photoreceptor 1 in accordance with the pattern of a latent image in the part of a minimum gap between the photoreceptor 1 and the sleeve 4b and is charged negatively by a charging device 5 and is fixed by a fixing device 7. |
