<p>A box pack with a flexible lining for storing liq. in small bulk quantities incorporates a flexible tube on the liner to allow part of the contents to be discharged and the remainder then retained by folding and/or clamping the tuning. Easier to control the rate and quantity of discharge than by use of containers which the corner of a semi-rigid liner is cut off and the contents discharged by tipping, esp. if the full container is too heavy to be handled easily. The flexible tube is a simpler and cheaper device to include or fit to the lining than a conventional stopcock, esp. if lining and tube are made of or coated with a thermoplastic material, e.g. polyethylene. The junction between the lining and the tube is pref. supported by a short rigid tubular insert. The tubing may be sized to accept a spigot coupling to a separate tap. For use in a so-called 'American' pack, the tubing may be integrated with a corner fold which provides a pocket at one end of the liner.</p> |
