PURPOSE:To greatly change the damping force of a cylindrical hydraulic buffer in its compression without influencing the damping force in its expansion, by supporting a leaf spring and a dish-shaped spring which is adjacent to the leaf spring and whose large-diameter open edge is oriented to a piston, on the peripheral surface of a center plate so that the springs can slide. CONSTITUTION:A piston 36 is provided with a plurality of oil passages 38 extending through the piston in the direction of its sliding. An end plate 40, a control washer 42, a support plate 44 and a center plate 46 are sequentially fitted on the small-diameter tip of a piston rod 14. A dish-shaped spring 48 and a leaf spring 50 are sequentially fitted on the peripheral surface of the center plate 46 so that the springs can slide and the large-diameter open edge of the dish-shaped spring is oriented to the piston 36. As a result, the leaf spring 50 starts being deformed as well as the dish-shaped spring 48 as the speed of the piston 36 increases, so that the damping property of a cylindrical hydraulic buffer is changed. |
