The invention relates to a device for safeguarding skylight windows against breaking and entering. Grille bars (2) are provided, which consist of casing tubes (3) in the inside of which a rotatable core (4) is in each case arranged. The grille bars are connected to two supports (6) which lie opposite one another and are designed as box profile supports. The box profile supports (6) have cutouts (7) for receiving the ends of the casing tubes (3). Two additional supports (8, 9) form, with the box profile supports (5, 6), a closed frame (23). Two supports (5, 6) or (8, 9) lying opposite one another are introduced displaceably into U-profiles (11, 12) secured on the roof beams (10). The frame (23) with the grille bars can be locked or bolted in the position covering the skylight window. <IMAGE>
