<p>PURPOSE:To feed sheets while securely separating one by one even when the thickness of the sheet is changed, by a method wherein the feed direction of the sheet is changed by the first guide member and the sheet is deformed along a guide surface by the second guided member. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 31 fed by a feed roller 6 comes into contact with a roller 7 provided as the first guide member, whereby the feed direction of the sheet is changed. The passage of the sheet 31 is restricted by a guide plate 8 serving as the second guide member so that the sheet is deformed along the sheet guide surface. The sheet 31 is fed further forwards and is clamped between feed rollers 10, 11. The roller 7 may be either rotated in the direction opposite to the feeding direction for the sheet or maintained in a stationary condition.</p> |
