The device determines the error rate by the periodic evaluation of the parity of a pre-determined number of bits, simultaneously on transmission and on reception, the synchronism of said evaluation at transmission and reception being ensured by the recognition of a sequence of random pre-determined composition constituted by the binary information flow rate, the parity information being transmitted by an auxiliary modulation independent of that of the information flow.</p> |
