PURPOSE:To change the operating procedure into a fixed form and at the same time to simplify a numerical controller, by setting a message sentence display means on a screen of a display device and at the same time displaying the items of operation on the screen in the form of a menu sentence. CONSTITUTION:A message display part 1a, an input data display part 1b, a setting data display part 1c and a menu display part 1d of a CRT1 are reserved. A menu selection key 11 and a menu advance key 12 are provided on the dis- play board. The page of menu can be replaced by the contents of the message or the operation of the key 12. An operator has just to push a switch of a desired item of operation for the key 12 on the page of menu. Thus the message of the part 1a can be replaced successively either by supplying the data to the part 1b with a data key 3 or by selecting the desired item of operation out of the menu which is displayed at the part 1d during the message of the part 1a. |
