PURPOSE:To improve usability of a microwave oven and the like by a method wherein a cooking sequence which has been stored in a memory unit is automatically set and the name of a menu can be displayed by key-in of a particular menu number only. CONSTITUTION:Upon pressing a key for setting menu number input mode 5a, indication of a character displayer 4b is changed from ''CLOCK'' to ''MENU NO.?'', and display on the time displayer 4a is blanked out. Next, as one of menu number keys 5b of a means to input menu no. 13, for example no. 12, is keyed in, the character display, after a preset time period, reads ''COOKIES'' corresponding to the no. 12 and the time display specifies ''5:00'' which represents time required for cooking through a memory of menu names 15. Then, as soon as cooking is started upon pressing the START key 5d, cooking time is counted up second by second until the preset time period for the cooking has elapsed, and the cooling is then completed. |
