PURPOSE:To prevent snow from piling on a blower, especially while snowing, with less power consumption by intermittently operating a blower which is mounted on the top of the cabinet of the subject freezer equipped with a heat exchager on heat source side while heating stops during operation for space heating. CONSTITUTION:In case of a freezer with a cabinet 3 on which a blower 2 is mounted on the top and, in addition, a heat exchangers 1 on heat source side are provided around its outer side walls, as a switch 4 for intermittent operation of the blower 2 is turned on while it is snowing in winter, electric current flows through a time limit relay 5 while space heating operation is stopped in the nighttime, etc. Then, a pair of contacts 5a of the time limit relay 5 is kept intermittently opened and closed, for example closed for 10 minutes and then opened for 10min. As the contacts 5a are closed, the blower 2 is in operation by powe supplied to a coil of an electromagnetic switch for operating the electric motor 6 for the blower 2. Such intermittent operation of the blower 2 can prevent piling of snow on the blower 2 with less power consumption. |
