PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic of an iron core and facilitate the assembling of a reactor, by coiling an amorphous alloy thin strip having a crystallizing region in a range of 5-50%. CONSTITUTION:An alloy, which is composed mainly of Fe and also of submetals such as Si, B, C, P, etc., is melted. This molten metal is rapidly cooled and solidified by using such a process as single-sided rolling process, etc. to manufacture an amosphous alloy thin strip. Thus manufactured thin strip is coiled in a troidal shape to manufacture a wound iron core. The amorphous alloy thin strip is locally crystallized in the range of 5-50% by annealing it for a length of time ranging from 1min to 100min in a range meeting the condition of Tx- 50 deg.C<Ta<Tx+400 deg.C, where a crystallizing temperature is Tx and an annealing temperature is Ta in accordance with chemical composition of the alloy. It is possible, by doing so, to improve the permanent permeability. And since it is not necessary to provide a gap on the iron core, assemblying of a reactor is simplified. |
