The purpose of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article that is soft and does not wrinkle easily. This absorbent article (1) is provided with a liquid-permeable layer (2) comprising a skin contact surface (4), a liquid-impermeable layer (33), and an absorbent body (3) between the liquid-permeable layer (2) and the liquid-impermeable layer (33). The liquid-permeable layer (2) comprises a plurality of recesses (5) on the skin contact surface (4). The absorbent body (3) comprises cellulose-based water-absorbent fibers (21) and thermoplastic resin fibers (22) having a longer fiber length than the cellulose-based water-absorbent fibers (21). At least a portion of the thermoplastic resin fibers (22) of the absorbent body (3) are joined to the liquid-permeable layer (2). The absorbent article (1) has a longitudinal flexural rigidity of 3-25 mN∙m2/m according to the KES method.
