The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for locking a valve of a gas range, which includes a timer installed between the gas range and the valve for switching on or off gas, enabling a user to set operation time, and closing a path to the gas range in the case that the operation time set by the user has passed, and locks the valve when a gas leak occurs. The present invention can automatically block the supply of the gas to the gas range in the case that the time set by the user has passed even if the user forgets that the gas range is in use and goes out of home. Also, the present invention locks the valve when the gas leak occurs. The present invention, when such accidents happen, makes a control unit perform blocking the supply of the gas and locking the valve and sends alarms to contact points set by the user over a network. |
