PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of oil from the half-split portion of a half-split type oil removing apparatus, by forming oil removing grooves in a oil removing member. CONSTITUTION:An oil removing member 3 split into an upper and a lower halves is fastened to a bearing box 2 by means of bolts. Oil removing grooves 9 are formed in both of the upper and the lower surfaces of the half-split portion. With such an arrangement, lubricating oil scattered in the bearing box 2 and penetrated into the half-split portion flows downward between fins 4 through the oil removing grooves 9 and is carried back into the bearing box 2 through oil return holes 10 formed at an upper portion of the oil removing member 3, so that leakage of oil to the outside of the bearing can be prevented effectively. |
